Shree Gurukulam Higher Secondary School was established in the academic year 2005 – 2006 as a reminiscence of the ancient Gurukulam with an aim of providing not only quality education but also moral values and cultural heritage.
Location
Shree Gurukulam Higher Secondary School is situated on the banks of Moolavaikkal. It is 5 kms away from Gobichettipalayam. It has 15 acres of land.
Aims and Objectives
The primary aim of the school is to foster the interests of children in education in this area. It provides excellent and novel approach to education, stress on spoken English and common skills. Intensive Yoga training for spiritual upliftment and a wide variety of club activities covering Fine Arts, Literary abilities, Heritage, Environment and Ecology, Sports and Self-defence are provided to nurture the inherent talents in children. This motivates all the people involved with positive attitude and burning enthusiasm. This institution takes efforts to socialize the children with dignity. Our aim is not only to send off the pupils with maximummarks in their public exams but alsowith total personalitydevelopment
Infrastructure
The splendid structure built exquisitely comprises spacious classrooms, study halls, dining halls and computer laboratories. All classes are equipped with necessary lighting and fan facilities to create fragrant atmosphere for learning. To improve the academic performance of students, technology- oriented Educomp’s smartclass in being used in our school. It makes learning an enjoyable experience for students. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls separately. Web cameras have been installed in every classroom to monitor the classroom transaction and to maintain strict discipline even during interval and lunch hours. A large play ground is available for sports activities. Clean and modern toilet facilities separately for boys, girls and staff members are available. Only purified water (R.O.Water)issupplied for drinking purposes.
